How to Scan a Plant

Follow these steps for the most accurate identification.

Natural daylight or bright indoor light gives the best results. Avoid harsh shadows or direct glare on the plant.

Launch the app and tap the camera icon on the home screen to open the live scanner.

Point your camera at the plant and center a distinctive feature — a leaf, flower, or bark pattern — within the guide frame.

Keep the phone still for a moment. SASYA identifies plants in real time as soon as the image is sharp and in focus.

The identified species name, confidence score, and plant details appear instantly on screen.

Add the plant to your collection, read care tips, or share the discovery. Keep scanning to unlock badges and complete quests!

Pro tip: If a scan fails, try photographing a single leaf against a plain background for the clearest result.
